Removing red meats and saturated fats from your diet is not only good for the symptoms of MS; it is heart and body healthy in many ways. Instead of eating a diet based on processed foods and poor quality fruits and vegetable, you will be eating whole and organic foods that are much better for you overall.

The Cons of an MS Diet

There are very few bad points to an MS diet no matter how you look at it, as this type of diet can only serve to make you healthier. However, if you are looking at MS diet pros and cons, the one con that sticks out is that this type of diet is going to cost you more as you will need to buy fresh, organic fruit and vegetables all year round. There are times when they can get rather expensive, especially in the off season.

Eating this way also means that you are going to have to spend time in the kitchen cooking meals, you can’t use any of the processed and ready to go food products anymore. If you are a meat lover, you may have a hard time converting over to a mostly vegan diet with some fish. These are the main MS diet pros and cons and as you can see the benefits far outweigh and small inconveniences as this diet has been proven many times over to work very well in reducing or eliminating the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
